Historical monument with feel-good ambience - special living in the Holländer windmill! This impressive windmill combines old craftsmanship with modern ambience.Built in 1910, the building was operated as a windmill until 1991 and was lovingly renovated and restored by the current owners in 2011. Artfully refurbished and often left in its natural state, you can admire the quaint, composite beams, the huge old wooden hoppers and the millstones. Also preserved are the bucket elevator, which was responsible for transporting the grain inside the mill, and the king shaft, which extends from the mill cap to the roller floor. The living quarters with about 220 m² of living space extend over the first (roller floor) and the second floor (stone floor). On the third (sifter floor) and fourth floor (cleaning floor), all of which can be reached by a steep wooden staircase or with the help of an elevator, have been left in their original condition and can be admired. The historic mill welcomes you through the inviting hallway with the kitchen and dining area. As you enter this spectacular living space - the heart of the old mill - you will be impressed by the old wheat chair and gears and the transport shafts. These run through all the floors. The open, old-style kitchen offers a direct view of the 100+ year old machinery and components. The large wooden table and the old church pew offer plenty of space for family and guests.Furthermore, there are 3 bedrooms on this floor (two of them with double bed, one with a single bed) as well as the stylish bathroom with free-standing bathtub and floor-level walk-in shower. The modern daylight bathroom is equipped with an old workbench and an integrated washstand and offers a beautiful view from large windows facing the field. Via the wooden staircase or the elevator you reach the lovingly designed living room with its pretty wooden mullioned windows and the large millstone as well as two exits to the gallery, which runs around the entire millstone body. Here you can enjoy the 360-degree panoramic view with the fantastic view over the fields and meadows to the sea 6 kilometers away in the horizon. Whether sun worshipper or shade lover - in the gallery everyone gets his money's worth. A beach chair and various seating options guarantee cozy hours with a far-reaching view. The garden also offers you plenty of space to get together. Two terraces provide a variety of uses and various small secluded spots such as the beach chair, the loungers or the place under the shady cherry tree invite you to linger. On hot days there is a little cooling from the fountain, which can still be pumped quite classically by hand and in the evening friends and family are happy when the old bush oven is fired with wood and conjures up crusty bread or delicious pizza. When it gets stormy and cold outside, it is especially cozy in the mill. You can hear the creaking of the wooden beams, the whisper of the wind catching in the wings, just as if the mill were quietly telling stories from its eventful past. But if you are still in the mood for nature and tranquility, the Way of St. James is located directly in front of the mill, untouched and enchanted - a true natural paradise! The manifold possibilities of use of this property leave nothing to be desired. Whether as a primary residence or second home or as a rental property for vacation guests - this mill can be used individually according to your ideas.Have we aroused your interest?
