This historical landmark has the unique creative stamp of Renowned Catalan contemporary artist Antoni Tàpies, and at its heart is a fabulous domed sitting room with wonderfully ornate original plasterwork. This leads off into more grand spaces rich with spectacular wood, marble and mosaic finishes, and a lovely original staircase connecting the three floors. Bespoke features include American Pine beams and carpentry, oak flooring and manual hydraulic tiles, and Brazilian, Italian and Indian green marble. There are paintings and frescoes restored in 2013-2014 by Carla Alpañez and even a 24-carat gold bath. Other highlights include the master bedroom with terrace and sea views, a further living room with spectacular fireplace and huge dining room with space for 26 people. This room is a perfect example of the stunning detail of the no-compromise restoration, using American pine, teak, mahogany and maple with meticulous painting in mother-of-pearl white and nacre. The feeling of space and opulence continues throughout this uniquely amazing property, from vast wine storage room to the top-floor home cinema and onto the roof, where you can enjoy 360º views of the mountains and the sea. There are plenty of modern luxuries to match comfort with cultural heritage including a fantastic industrial kitchen and integrated hot and cold air conditioning. The 4-person guest/service area has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living/kitchen area, and here is a service bell system in all rooms. Outside, walled gardens lead down from open terraces with balustrades to a lovely open pool area. An automatic sprinkler and drip irrigation system make maintenance easy and keep everything looking perfect.
