Strandfontein is a pretty little coastal village situated on the West Coast at the mouth of the Olifants River. Strandfontein’s high cliffs provide excellent views across the sea ideal for spotting whales during season from the late winter into early spring.
This area is magnificent in its beauty with white sandy beaches and rocky cliffs. Becoming quite the tourist destination and stop-over for those travelling on the N7 to and from Namibia, Strandfontein is growing in popularity. August and September is wildflower season bringing visitors from far and wide as the area becomes a hive of activity all to see the breathtaking vision of colour.
