Hotel "WILDES SCHWEIN", a hotel with racing history from the beginning of the 20th century, shines in new splendor. One floor was completely renovated in 2010 and the restaurant/pub was partially renovated in 2012. It is located only 200 m - or about a 2-minute walk - from the sister hotel Blaue Ecke. A traditional house with a long history welcomes you. Guests have been accommodated and pampered here since 1889. The much admired hunting trophy and trademark of the hotel to this day was a capital boar's head, and is still a theme throughout the hotel. The Hotel Wildes Schwein has 20 rooms in two different categories. All rooms have a shower/WC, cable TV, a hairdryer and a towel warmer. WLAN is also available free of charge throughout the hotel. Furthermore, the hotel has free parking directly in front of the hotel. The hotel entrance is on the side street. The hotel is currently run jointly with its sister hotel, the "Blaue Ecke". This equally well-known and even older hotel currently houses the joint reception and catering facilities for both hotels. The nearby Nürburgring is an important economic driver in this region. And so the guest list for the hotel "Zum wilden Schwein" is also filled with particularly famous names. Naturally, in connection with the Nürburgring, which opened in 1927, the world racing driver elite of the time were guests here: these included Rudolf Caracciola, Hermann Lang, Manfred von Brauchitsch and Hans Stuck. They were later joined by other racing aces such as Juan Manuel Fangio and Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips, to name but a few.But other personalities from the worlds of politics, art and culture also frequented the hotel. Members of the aristocracy and the imperial family, including Prince August-Wilhelm, known as "Au-Wi", as well as politician Erich Mende (FDP), actor Paul Kemp, Gustav Gründgens, Cologne carnival celebrities, former General Adolf Galland, General Steinhoff and many other well-known people were regular guests. On the one hand, the location and spatial layout lend themselves to a variety of uses: Boarding house, retirement home, company apartments and much more.We are delighted to be able to present this special property to you. Do not hesitate and make an appointment today.
