Description
Caribbean Farmland in the Dominican Republic
This amazing Caribbean Farmland of 569.930 square meters has great developing potential. The farm is located 4 miles (7 km) from the coast at 900 feet (270 m) above sea level and embedded in the middle of the Abreu hills on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. The road is now to the farm with new asphalt.
In this tranquil and silent region, you only can hear the rustling of leaves in the trees and the occasional whisper of horses, cows, and birds. The dense forests of acacia are relentlessly green all year round. Small lakes and ponds throughout the property enrich the luscious landscape. Call this the perfect way of Country Life in the Dominican Republic.
There are currently approximately 200 cattle on this Caribbean farmland that are raised for meat production. This activity covers the yearly maintenance costs.
The property has great potential including:
* Golf course with hotel/spa (no public Golf course within 80 miles)
* Retirement home/hotel with condos, especially for seniors who want to escape the cold winters
* Commercial fruit plantations such as pineapples, oranges, mangos, cocoa, etc.
* Agritourism, horse riding, fish farming
* The heart of the property is suitable for several larger villas
The Dominicans in the region of Abreu and Cabrera have a friendly reputation, are reliable, and have solid work ethics. In addition, the labor cost is very low.
A partnership with a potential developer would be considered.
