This magnificent property which was formally a very important paper factory is composed of four independent dwellings with wonderful communal areas and gardens including a wide variety of plants and mature trees. The property enjoys panoramic views over the valley and the Barxell river, quite impressive during the rainy season. The huge green house with its magnificent craftsmanship and stained glass windows is situated beside the original music room and the bird cages, once rich in varied exotic species, convey a sensation from the 19th century. The lower level consists of what was once considered to be the biggest and most important paper factory of the province, until today conserving the original structure, situated on the road from Alcoy to Banyeres. The windmill which once served the factory is made of carved stone, and remains to be an absolute beauty. The walls surrounding the gardens with its two minaret towers, the impressive rose bushes, the fountains and canals for the irrigation system, remain as constant reminders of the rich Arabic history of this land and the splendour of this property. As well as being well positioned on a good road and having magnificent views, the property also offers close proximity to the very interesting home of the well known poet Juan Gil-Albert, with its garden, grotto and archaeological site. The natural park that surrounds this area offers numerous interesting excursions, cultural, ecological as well as a wealth of gastronomy. The local Moors and Christians festival is considered to be one of the best in Spain with their marvelous costumes, music and warmth of the local people.
